Red is the leader of an elite group of koopas and brothers. The Koopa Bros are four action seeking brothers who serve Lord Bowser because he offered them a few things and he's "chill" as Red says. He is presumed the oldest, as most characters who wear red are older than their siblings in Mario-verse.
The four started out as normal koopas who got bored of their day to day life. They later took up ninjutsu and learned from local bully, Kent C. Koopa, how to fight. Despite being shoddy, their special technique, the Super Spinning Tower, managed to devastate most of the nearby village and the four easily claimed Bob-omb Fortress for themselves, renaming it Koopa Bros. Fort. From here, they were given the duty of protecting Eldstar, the oldest Star Spirit.
Soon, Mario arrived and the four set multiple traps and defenses. Mario managed to get through all of them as he navigated the fort and liberated the bob-ombs within the fortress...including Bombette, a credential figure in Mario's journey. They began firing bullet bills in a last ditch attempt to defeat the hero but failed.
Finally, Mario confronted them above the cage all the bob-ombs were previously trapped in. They attempted to attack in the "SUPER COOL BOWSER SUIT!" and attempted to mimic the real one. Mario destroyed this and the four finally stood off against the enemy themselves.
Unfortunately for them, as Mario would soon figure out, they were nothing but average koopas combining their strength and wearing colored uniforms. In the end, Mario was the victor.
The Koopa Bros fell into the very cage they imprisoned the bob-ombs in previously and began plotting their revenge. Around General Guy's defeat and the fall of the Toybox, the four escaped the prison and redoubled their training. They are now worthy of their title of Elite troops.
They finally got the chance to prove their worth once more against Mario and gang and even renamed their selves as the Super Ultra Mighty Koopa Bros. the Great. Unfortunately, they were ambushed by Junior Troopa who bested all four of them before they had the time to react. They somehow survived the fall of Bowser's castle and have been training harder since.
Now, Red has returned to show Mario they are a threat.
Personality: Red is the leader and oldest of his brothers. Thus, it's a mystery why they all act the same. They use similar phrases such as "gnarly", "wicked", etc. They also have an obsession with being cool and keeping a good rep. They are egotistical and arrogant, but they have recently shown more skill behind their claims.
Skills: Red has normal koopa skills, such as shell tosses. But he has also taken up plenty learning and knows how to hold his own in combat. He also knows how to use ninjutsu to an extent, as he used these skills to disguise as a Dark Toad and block Mario's way in the first chapter. How much more he knows is vague at best. It should also be noted that he and his brothers utilize Bro. Moves when they are together. Red is the most strategic and calculating of the four, as he seems to come up with all their plans. He seems to be an incredible doofus at times, but he is quite competent. He has slightly more HP than Yellow and Green and seems to be equal with Black.
